Gwyned Trefethen


Shifting Values is a collection of work based on the question of what happens when relative values are shifted from single or multiple points across the canvas of a quilt.	Inspiration for Images from Nature comes from observing flowers, insects and landscapes. The nature pictured may be based on a photograph or purely fanciful.	Each piece in Gifts from the Muse evolved organically. When a decision was required as to how to proceed quiet reflection allowed the Muse to whisper her suggestions.

Tiny Treasures is a collection of 4” x 6” works, mounted on 8” x 10” white mat board. These representational pieces feature branches, vines, flowers, fruit, butterflies and birds. Unlike larger work by Gwyned Trefethen, these pieces do not depend on intricate piecing, but are hand painted, fused, embroidered and embellished.
