As the publicity quilt for the 21st Annual Fabric of Legacies National Quilt Exhibition in Ft. Collins, CO;
As a selection for the 2004 American Quilter’s Society Engagement Calendar;
As a juried entry in the 2002 International Quilt Festival in Houston, TX; and
As the third place winner in the Innovative Piecing category at the 2002 Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza in Ft. Washington, PA.

Challenger began as, the inner pieced square of vibrant plaids and black fabric, an unappreciated attempt at a Rhododendron Needlers Quilt Guild Challenge. It was relegated to the UFO drawer. Several years later it was resurrected by skewing the original quilt top and adding triangular borders. Professional longarm quilter, Jill Webster, quilted Challenger to… A UFO Solution.
