34” H x 50” W Coliseum was juried, by Robert Shaw, into the Tactile Architecture 2003. It made its debut at the International Quilt Festival in Houston. |
| Coliseum is a triptych based on a photograph taken by Michele Koppelman. The panels were made from left to right by Gwyned Trefethen, Sharon G. Monahan and Michele Koppelman. Each artist worked privately on her own piece. The only rule was that the piece and design elements must be to scale so that the individual panels would line up to form a congruous whole. Other wise each creator could interpret her panel according to her own sensibility and style. |  |
