| The central block, designed by Cynthia England and published in Quilter’s Newsletter, of an iris and butterfly, was the catalyst for Metamorphosis. The block lay fallow for several years, waiting for the next inspiration. It took a class on line drawing and one on piecing with Ruth B. McDowell to develop the confidence to design and add the caterpillar and day lily border. |  |
