Week in Review 2019 – 09/20

My Neighbor's Shed detail

Every September SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Associates) holds a reverse auction. This year’s auction is in full swing. The work available to bid on, by amazing fiber artists from around the globe, is just as phenomenal as always. The funds support SAQA’s projects and programs, designed to further SAQA’s mission, promoting the art quilt.

There are 443 unique 12″ x 12″ quilts to bid on. These are divided into three sessions, containing just shy of 150 quilts each. Bidding takes place over 3 weeks, with the first session coming to a close this weekend. This is when the prices are at their lowest. Time is of the essence. Bid early, to avoid missing out on that must have quilt.

My Neighbor’s Shed

Next Monday, at 2 pm ET the bidding begins on session 2. My piece, My Neighbor’s Shed goes on the auction block. Do check the auction artwork out. You are in for a treat.

I am linking up with Nina Marie’s Off the Wall Fridays.

    1. Yes, it sold Monday afternoon, the first day it was available for sale, for $750. I’m over the moon. This is the first time any of my SAQA auction pieces have sold that high.
